Sketchee.com up to date

I've upgraded to Wordpress 2.5 without a problem and in minutes. If you're not familiar with it, it's the software that makes updating this site a breeze. My favorite of its new features is its plugin upgrade feature. It alerts the user to upgrades and updates it with a click of a button. The administrative side has a new look, but there shouldn't be too much different for readers.

music.sketchee.com just got a facelift. A very small bit of redesign to improve the look of it all. I might continue to tweak a bit over the next few days. If you haven't yet visited the site, it has sheet music of my original compositions and arrangements from classical music and video games. I also have midi and mp3 samples on there.

Flashers

Glyphobet's Why your Flash website sucks article presents a few reasons why a Flash presentation may not be the best idea for your content. Flash has its place, but keep it there. Especially now with the rise of [[AJAX]].

I have now installed the Wikipedia-link plugin which allows me to link to [[Wikipedia]] using [[brackets]]. You can also do this in the comments!

Excited about Wordpress 2.5

[[Wordpress]] has posted a sneak Peak of 2.5. It looks pretty cool including a new customizable dashboard and streamlined navigation. It's all backend stuff for this site that no one really cares about except those of us who use it for [[blogging]] and [[content management]]. I recommend Wordpress after trying many of the competitors, including the once okay but now increasingly crappy [[Movable Type]].

Edit: Movable Type 3, never forget.
